I am planning a day trip to Anglesey on Saturday 9th April.
My plan is a relatively short trip in easy water as an introduction to paddling on the sea. (It would be a great way to follow up Steve's gentle introduction to sea kayaking.) Venue depends on the weather but one of the following is likely:-
Treardddur Bay to Rhoscollyn (one way)
Bull Bay to Porth Wen (there and back - the ruined brickworks trip)
Moelfre to Ynys Dullas (there and back)
in extremis, the Straits from Beaumaris (there and back)
My preference would be for one of the first two as they have caves, cliffs, seals, etc and we have paddled three and four recently. Arrangements would be to meet in Anglesey. High water is mid to late morning (depending on place), so I would like to be on the water by 10.30 and off the water by 4.00. Sea Kayaks obviously best but these trips could be paddled in appropriate cross-over or general purpose kayaks.
